This collection comprises the organizational and historic records of the Wellesley Centers for Women, the Centers for Research on Women, and the Stone Center, dating from 1974-2012. The collection includes correspondence, photographs, books, articles, and audiovisual materials. A bulk of the collection also includes the professional papers of Susan McGee Bailey, director of the Centers for Research on Women and the Wellesley Centers for Women from 1986-2010.

Scope and Contents

Collection consists of published histories of Wellesley College (including broader histories of the Seven Sisters and women's colleges generally), dating from 1876-1998. Includes writing on the College Hall Fire, and an account of Jawaharlal Nehru's (former Prime Minister of India) visit to the college. Also includes research and drafts of Alice Payne Hackett's book "Wellesley: Part of the American Story" (1949).

Scope and Contents

This collection includes both compiled and edited Song Books with Wellesley College songs, both specific to certain class years, sports teams, and events, and general to the college experience, as well as unbound sheet music on similar themes.
