Scope and Contents From the Series: Grace Louise Rose was from Martinsville, Indiana. While at Wellesley she majored in Greek and graduate Phi Beta Kappa. She continued her studies at Western College from 1926-1927, was a Horton-Hallowell Fellow (Wellesley College) conducting graduate research from 1934-1935, a Pembroke Alumnae Fellow from 1935-1936 (studying at Oxford University), and a Basil Gildersleeve Fellow from 1936-1937.
