Biographical / Historical
The Friday Movement wrote a letter to the Editor of the Wellesley News (March 14, 1975) titled "Release funds to ease crisis," about the formation of their ad hoc group for information sharing about the college's budget and wage and salary concerns in the face of the 1973–1975 recession. Attendees included "members of the AAUP [American Association of University Professors], office employees, student services people, union and Black Task Force members." The group sought to build solidarity between employee groups, and met Fridays in Billings Hall.
