Sub-Series A includes the photographs and drawings of art and architecture in Italy used in McAndrew's work with Save Venice and in his writings, particularly for his book Venetian Architecture in the Early Renaissance. Includes 5 maps for use in the book. Also includes an original painting by the Italian artist Tony Lucarda.

Memorial documents include: obituaries; memorial events, dedications, and gifts; and messages of condolence to his wife, Betty Bartlett McAndrew. Also includes Betty's diaries.
