Residence records

Collection consists of the records of Wellesley College residences, dating from 1885-2003. Collections includes general residence records such as rules for residents regarding sunbathing, swimming, storage and moving, and traffic and cards on campus, as well as files on specific residence halls. Files on residence halls include such content as: posters for events hosted by the dorm, Treasurer's Reports and budgets, Treasurer's Books and ledgers, President's Books, news clippings, instructions for duties and rules for residents, meeting notes (including House Council and House Organization), information about facilities and resources, records of the Heads of House, lists of residents, photo albums, a scrapbook, and compiled histories of residences (most in "House Books," which are described as including the history of the house, lists of Heads and House Presidents, records of student residents who held college offices or "[did] anything of special interest," and gifts to the house). Of note are 1919 floorplans of Tower Court (by floor), a Pomeroy Hall 'Vil Juniors notebook,' records of Navy Day from Navy House, and the resources and events offered by the Instead Feminist Cooperative.
