From the Collection:

Records of the Class of 1922, dating from 1916-1992, consisting of event programs, songs, the Class Constitution, news clippings, correspondence, biographical information and obituaries, course materials, records of admission, financial records, meeting minutes, reunion records, scrapbooks, photo albums and photographs; concerning student and alumnae activities. Includes Sally Carrighar’s typescript books “Home to the Wilderness” and “One Day at Teton Marsh” (circa 1972).

Biographical / Historical

Sally Carrighar entered in 1918 with the Class of 1922, but left after two years before completing her degree. She was a naturalist, and the author of eleven books mostly based on her long periods of observation of wildlife. Her 1973 book "Home to the Wilderness" is an autobiography, which includes description of a traumatic childhood.
