From the Collection:

Records of the Class of 1905, dating from 1901 to 1981, consisting of course materials, correspondence, clippings, minutes, notebooks, photographs, photograph albums, programs, poetry and scrapbooks; concerning class meetings and the social and academic activities of members of the class as undergraduates, and information on reunions, careers and activities of members of the class as alumnae. Includes Grace Johnson's graduation gown and mortarboard, and Zella Wentz and Ruth Chipman's correspondence with family, as well as Ruth deRochemont's writings and translations on art history.

Biographical / Historical

Ruth de Rochemont was from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She was an Assistant Art Editor and wrote poetry for the 1905 Legenda, and was a member of the Sketch Club and Society Tau Zeta Epsilon. In 1904 she was the President of the Alliance Francaise (French Alliance). In 1907 she traveled abroad to France, Switzerland, Italy, and India. She passed away in 1928.
