Biographical / Historical
Hetty Shepard Wheeler was from Bridgeport, Connecticut. While at Wellesley she was a Literary Editor of the 1902 Legenda, the Corresponding Secretary of Society Tau Zeta Epsilon, and the Leader of the Glee Club. She went on to be a Fellow in Music at Wellesley from 1903-1904, and received her Master’s degree in Music in 1905. From 1904-1907 she worked as Assistant Instructor in Musical Theory, and from 1907-1920 as a full Instructor. She became the Dean of Pine Manor Junior College (Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts) in 1930-[date unknown].
