Biographical / Historical
Frances Taylor Pearsons (married name Plimpton) was from Holyoke, Massachusetts. She married George A. Plimpton in 1892, and served as the President of the New York Alumnae Association from 1895-1896. She passed away in New York on December 9, 1900. The Plimpton Collection of Italian books and manuscripts (mostly of the Renaissance period) in the Wellesley College Library was established by her husband George in her memory.
