Series II. Julia and Dorothy Conner papers, 1914-1920 (bulk 1917-1920)
Scope and Contents
Series includes correspondence of Julia Conner, Class of 1890, and Dorothy Conner, Class of 1912, dating from 1914 to 1919 (mostly 1917 to 1919), consisting of correspondence and clippings. Of note is Julia's handwritten account of the sinking of the Lusitania, which she witnessed first hand and survived as a passenger, and correspondence concerning their work in France during World War I. Julia Conner was the Director of Cantines des Dames Anglaises at Braine.
