Scope and Contents

Janet Brown Guernsey graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in Physics in 1935. She got her MA from Harvard in 1948 and became an Assistant Professor of Physics at Wellesley. She later earned her PhD from MIT in 1955, and became a tenured Professor at Wellesley the same year. Series IV. predominantly consists of papers documenting Guernsey's professional career, with some student papers.
