Scope and Contents
Series VII. Navy (1942-1969) includes 2 sub-series: Sub-Series I. Post-Resignation (1946-1952) and Sub-Series II. Photographs (1943-1945 and undated). Also includes files on the book Angel of the Navy, the WAVES unit (Women Accepted for Voluntary Emergency Service), biographical materials, Navy regulations and customs, the USS Franklin aircraft carrier, as well as news clippings, travel documents, transcripts of oral history interviews, copies of speeches and addresses, and personal and official correspondence.
